I was really hoping ASCD would have more ready-to-use ideas I could actually bring into my classroom day to day. Some of the articles are definitely relevant, but a lot of it feels general or more like theory than something I can use right away. It’s not totally useless, but I had to dig around way too much to find anything practical. For the amount of time I spent on it, I expected better.

I was a little unsure at first, but... the billing ended up being clear and straightforward. No unexpected charges or surprises, which I really appreciated.

I was just trying to log in and check my account, but the navigation felt all over the place and I kept clicking around trying to figure out where to go, and by the time I finally got logged in it had taken way longer than it should have.

I really wanted to enjoy this conference, but the whole setup made that difficult. The lines were ridiculously long, and the sessions felt like they were being figured out in real time, which is always... fun. Maybe there was a plan behind the scenes, but it definitely didn’t feel like attendees were meant to notice it.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much, but support did get back to me quickly. They were helpful enough, even if the whole thing still felt a little slower than I would’ve liked.

The book finally arrived, but it was much later than expected! I needed the resources sooner, so that was frustrating

I tried ASCD for professional development, i came away disappointed. The sessions I took felt really basic, with a lot of big-picture talk but not much I could actually bring back to my classroom the next day. Some of the materials also seemed a little outdated. I’m already kind of worn out from signing up for PD programs and services that promise a lot but don’t really deliver, so this just added to that fatigue. For the time and money, I expected more practical examples and better support. I wouldn’t choose it again.

I had an ASCD membership for about a year, and to be fair, there were a few resources I found helpful. But overall, I just didn’t feel like I got enough value for the price. Some of the content felt basic, and other things were harder to find than I expected. I can see how it might be worth it for certain people, but for me, it didn’t quite live up to the cost.
